The Umbrella Happiness Guarantee
We're here because we want to do good work. If we didn't care, we wouldn't be in this business – period.
That's true of us at Umbrella HQ, and it's true of the Handy Neighbors who choose to work with us.
But, sometimes things do go wrong, and when they do we want to make things right.
Here are a few things you should know about the Umbrella Happiness Guarantee:
Contact Umbrella support within 3 days (seventy two hours) from when the job was completed.
We require our Members to first make a good faith effort to resolve the issue directly with Umbrella; we may send out another Handy Neighbor free of charge.
Work is only covered when booked and described accurately through Umbrella. Jobs requested directly from Handy Neighbors, or later modified without Umbrella's input are not covered.
The Umbrella Happiness Guarantee provides only for losses arising from property damage as a direct result of negligence of a Handy Neighbor when they are completing a service; or for losses arising from theft of your property by a Handy Neighbor booked through Umbrella, while they are performing the service.
Umbrella is not the employer of any Handy Neighbor. We do not supervise, direct, or control a Handy Neighbor’s work or the performed they perform. A Handy Neighbor provides services to you as an independent contractor.
