What Services Does Umbrella Offer?
Umbrella is a program where volunteers can help members aged 65 and above with tasks like grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, and walking their dogs. Our pick-up and delivery services are important, especially during these times, as we want to help keep everyone as safe as possible. We also offer house painting, house cleaning, and fence installation services.
How Does Umbrella Work?
Our network comprises members and volunteers who live in the same neighborhood or area. Once we receive a request, we immediately start looking for a volunteer who can help out. We then send the requester an email or text message to inform them that someone will be on their way soon.
How Much Do You Charge For Your Services?
Members are charged only for the cost of the items they order plus a 20-dollar fee, which covers call center costs and a small fee for the volunteer. There is no additional markup on the items.
What Types of Requests Do You Deliver?
We will deliver almost anything within reason! We have had requests for groceries, take-out food, medicine, flowers, and even hardware supplies. If you have a request you don’t see listed here, please feel free to reach out and ask – we’re always happy to help out where we can.

Is it Safe To Use Your Services?
Our volunteers are all triple-vetted, which means they undergo a rigorous screening process before they are matched with a member. We also have a strict code of conduct that all volunteers must abide by, and we have a 24/7 call center that members can reach anytime.
