Our COVID-19 Response

Sidepost Umbrella is committed to keeping as many people safe during the pandemic as possible. Hence, we are opening our services to all the elderly who might need them.  To anticipate the rise in demand, we have dedicated a good percentage of our resources to fulfilling requests and requirements for those whose mobility has been limited by the outbreak.  

Whether you are a member or not, anyone aged 60 and above may use our app/website or call 973-200-4499 or 844 402-2480 Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm to book an Sidepost Umbrella Neighbor. Here are some services our volunteers can help you with:

  • Grocery shopping
  • Picking up restaurant orders and other necessities
  • Paying bills
  • Delivering items to Goodwill
  • Run other errands you may have

Aside from using Sidepost Umbrella for your pick-up and delivery needs, you may use our network, provided that all parties involved are observing proper safety protocols, to do the following:

  • Do repairs within the home (electrical,  plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
  • Lawn care and maintenance
  • Snow removal
  • Gardening (raking, weeding, lawn mowing)
  • Window and gutter cleaning
  • Furniture and appliance installation
  • Home cleaning
  • Meal preparation
  • Tech tutoring
  • Companionship

Meanwhile, we have also started finding ways to grow our volunteer base. This will enable us to continue providing quality service to those who need it most while also helping keep them safe and healthy.
